Payroll basis and margin from the same numbers.
The hours on the time sheet, the leave and the salaries are already in Hedda. So the payroll basis is ready without anyone moving data across, and the margin per engagement is right before the month is even booked.
A payroll basis every month, for any payroll system
Payroll runs in two steps: first the hours are locked, then the pay is finalised. Hedda works out base salary, variable pay, absence deductions and tax, so what goes to your payroll system is already right.
Lock the hours
Submitted time is locked before the payroll run and can be downloaded as Excel, with a column per absence type.
Variable pay
Commission, bonus, overtime, corrections and manual pay lines on the same basis.
Tax and employer contributions
The Swedish Tax Agency's tax tables are fetched every year, so withholding tax and employer cost come out right.
Salary reviews and compensation
The salary review builds on what is already there: scores from performance reviews and a budget. Employees, in turn, see what different choices mean for their take-home pay.
Salary reviews through the approval chain
Split a budget by review scores, for one person or a whole department, and send the proposals on for a decision.
Salary exchange and equity salary
Salary exchange and equity salary are counted in the payroll basis and in the employee's calculation.
Pay calculator
Take-home pay with a comparison against ITP 1 and a pension forecast.
Margin per engagement and consultant
Revenue, personnel cost and gross margin per company and engagement, by month, quarter or year. Until the month closes it is a forecast, after that the actuals.
A forecast until the month closes
The plan and the time sheets give a forecast that holds even mid-month.
Month close
The project manager closes the engagement and payroll locks the hours. Billing basis and payroll basis from the same numbers.

Decide how a consultant's cost is counted, so the margin reflects how you actually work.

Common questions about pay and margin
Does Hedda run payroll and send payslips?
No. Hedda produces a finished payroll basis, and the payroll run and payslips happen in your payroll system as usual.
How does the payroll basis get into our payroll system?
If you use Fortnox, variable pay and absence go straight across, mapped to your existing pay types. Otherwise, export the payroll basis as Excel.
Who can see salaries and margins?
Only the people you grant it to. Seeing margin and seeing salary are two separate rights, and being a manager confers neither.
